Yeah…you read that right, we’re homeschooling.
I know, I know, it’s shocking.
Even our girls were a bit trepidatious at first…
“You’re my mom…AND my teacher? Are you sure you know how this works?”
That’s the route we’ve decided to take.
And honestly, I couldn’t be happier.
And the girls are happy, and my husband is happy.
(And my mom is especially happy)
Me: “Mom, we’ve decided to homeschool.”
I’d known in my heart that that was what I wanted to do since my oldest daughter was about 1 year old. But I really wanted to think it through, weigh the pros and cons, and work with my husband to decide what would be best for our family. And so here are!
I’m not going to go into WHY we’re homeschooling, that would just be too long of a post, with diagrams, and articles, full of words like…nope, you almost had me! I’m not even including any key words.
Let’s just say, it was the best decision for us.
(I mean, if you REALLY want to know, then I’ll write something up later…after much thought…and censorship.)
But I’m totally pumped, and the Girls are too. They can’t wait for their homeschool curriculum to arrive in the mail this week!
This weekend we’ll be going to the store and buying them each a new dress, and taking a “first day of (home)school picture” a la 365cherish.com. They are so excited! I am so excited!!! WE ARE ALL SO EXCITED!!!
And the curriculum we’re using is pretty exciting too. Because the number one draft pick out of all the available homeschool curricula…the homeschool program we decided to go with is…
I know, right?
We’re pretty stoked.
Maybe I’ll do like…a photo montage when we get our box!
Wow, that was so old school.
But I’m totally serious 😀
