We picked up this cute little book from the library two weeks ago and my “Little 1” won’t let me take it back. I think it’s because, like the girl in the book, my “Little One” is quite shy a lot of the time. She bounces back and forth from being the life of our party to being too shy to talk to anyone. Our “Little 1” oftentimes tries to hide in her cloak, or in her stroller, or behind Mama’s skirt; but will peek out and watch when she thinks you’re not looking.
I should know this…
Iambic pentameter?…no… something about meter….?
It’s been awhile since I’ve read any poetry.
But overall it’s a well-written little book with a beautifully strange sort of “music” to it.
I like the book, but I do wish the ending was a tad bit different. I won’t give away any spoilers (I can’t stand spoilers), so if you’re interested check it out at your local library and tell me what you think about it in the comments below.
