This is a super cute KID-CALMING show from Amazon that has become really popular with my 3 year old.
“Amazon makes its own shows?” You ask. “When did this happen?”
I have no idea, but I’m happy….very happy about it. Especially since it’s totally free for Amazon
members! Hee hee hee. You know how I love free things. Anyhoo, this show is sweet, calm, entertaining and educational. It’s so tame, it really makes me wonder what about the show is capturing the girls’ attention: maybe it’s the fact that it’s claymation, or that they’ve detailed an entire universe that feels really rich and full? Or maybe it’s the vibrant colors, the soothing voices? I really have no idea, but it’s nice and sweet.
The main character is Fig, a blue fox who is likeable without being
overly…anything; he’s not quirky, or intensely excitable, or loud, or
boring, he’s just…like that one friend you have who loves to be
outside and explore; that friend who somehow gets you to come on these cool
unexpected adventures. He has a multitude of forest buddies and they
just…play and discover. Each 11 minute long episode is centered
around something Fig finds in “the finding place” (a treasure chest that
is serendipitously filled each day by an inquisitive crab) which he
then shares with his friends and goes on an adventure to explore or explain his new treasure.
