Fall (my favorite season of all time) is just around the corner! It's almost time for apple picking, cider drinking, beautiful colored leaves swirling, pumpkins, pie and holidays!!! I LOVE fall!!!! It's just, so wonderful! 😀
But before wondrous fall begins, we can enjoy the end of season SALES!!!
Now is a great time to pick up some lovely clothes to carry your little ones all the way through fall and winter.
Some of the clothes you might find on sale now are Spring and Summer collections from...well, this past Spring and Summer. Just because these dresses, shirts, and more aren't made in "autumn" colors, doesn't mean they can't be be worn throughout the fall and winter. This especially applies to kids clothes. I LOVE for my girls to wear sweet teals, pinks, blues all year round; to me those colors can be worn in every season.
Let's say I were to find a super cute dress on sale, but it's SLEEVELESS! Would I pass it up? NO WAY! I'd just pair it with a peter pan collared top like one of these:
Or I'll put a little sweater over the dress, like one of these:
And those are two ways I carry spring and summer clothes into fall and winter.
I also pair their dresses with legging pants.
In our family, we don't wear shorts or anything above the knee, so WHATEVER the season, their dresses are paired with either thin leggings in the spring/summer months or thick woolen stockings in the fall and winter. And I've learned that with two very active, very girly toddlers... wearing leggings under dresses are essential. I can't even IMAGINE having them outside in shorts; they are SO active: climbing, jumping, sliding, skidding, and FALLING. I can't count the times my Little Ones have fallen this summer; and had they been wearing the short shorts that are so popular with all ages this season, they would have even more scratches, bumps and bruises, and even a few gashes o_o Thank you Lord for leggings!!!!
Have any tips for carrying clothes from season to season? Leave them below 😉
