Ok, it’s been a LONG time since my last Soulful Sunday….but I’ve been busy being soulful! 😀 Usually on Sundays me and the fam wake up (yeah…that sounds more calm than it really is, in reality our pajama’d toddlers wake us up laughing and squealing and wrestling each other, basically dragging us out of our bed, with both my husband and I grabbing fistfulls of covers, hanging on for dear life…maybe that’s a slight exaggeration…but probably not 😉
Anyhoo, after that we hang out, have breakfast, then watch Joel Osteen online LIVE. Before the messages, while the music is playing, we do laundry, clean up around the house. When Joel starts his joke of the day my husband and I sit down to what we know will be an uplifting message where we’ll learn something applicable to our lives. My Little Two is usually taking a nap and my Little One…flits around us with random questions or statements, playing with her toys, painting or looking at her books.
After that is all said and done, we feel full of inspiration and life, and we have lots to discuss throughout the day as we spend time together with the girls. Today my husband refurbished my Little One’s tricycle, which has been super rusty since it was left out in the rain (aluminum foil and water takes off rust, fyi). Then she rode it around, had a stellar tantrum when we had to go inside, then we grabbed some delicious pasta carbonara at our favorite neighborhood restaurant. Later we came home, played with the girls, got them into bed, and now here we are, watching “God is Dead” for our spiritually themed date night movie. We like to watch something soul-stirring on Sundays.
Anyhoo…this movie is bomb.
(That’s slang for awesome…or at least I think it is…was what you said when I was up on popular culture. Now I think people say “on fleek”…but I could be totally wrong. This movie is on fleek. Is that right? Or am I saying this movie is totally well-groomed? I used to be cool. I know you can’t tell right now…but just know…I used to be cool.)
