I recently planned a park/playground playdate for a mother’s group that I run…unfortunately the temperature climbed to over 90 degrees that day!
Needless to say, we cut that playdate short (Or tried to! It was really hard to stop chit-chatting, even though we were melting)!
Sometimes, it’s too hot too play, too cold, too windy, too rainy, there’s too much snow or not enough shade.
But even on days when the weather is not cooperating, Little Kids (and Big Kids too) need some activity time/play time. It’s good for them to run and jump and skip. It’s also important to have some fun family time where you’re all moving and having fun.
It’s a great chance to bond with the special little people in your life; and your spouse too.
So where do you go when the weather’s not cooperating?
1. The Library
3. Indoor Iceskating Ring
5. The Mall (they often have a play area for kids)
6. Movie Theatre (they sometimes have an arcade, kid friendly showings, and it’s nice to just let them run around *quietly* in an empty area…as long as it’s quietly!
