It’s the everyday happenings of my world and my quest to have an elegant life, which is actually proving to be quite difficult.
“Why is it difficult to be elegant?” You ask.
“Aren’t you naturally elegant? You seem so from your prose.” You say.
heh heh heh.
Why thank you; I DO, in fact, think of myself as naturally elegant.
Just like these amazing ladies…. my fellows, my comrades-in-
For me, these ladies and many many others exude grace and elegance.
But how can you have that sort of aura about you when you’re not on the red carpet?
When you’re shlepping groceries, changing your 6th poopy diaper of the day, when you haven’t had a shower in a while and you really really need to catch a moment to exfoliate, pluck, polish, pamper, deep condition and blow dry too many areas to count?
That’s what I’m trying to do with my life and this blog is going to chronicle my journey: from cranky, over-tired, stressed housewife (artist, writer, inventor, tamer of children, partner+lover+cheerleader, wrangler of life) to an “everyday-is-elegant lady.”
And not just elegant on the outside: oh no, that would be way too easy to run to the store and buy some designer duds to slap on over my tiredness, poor responses, and stress and call myself “elegant.” Oh no, this is about changing from the inside out. You know, touchy-feely: I’m one with myself, I journal and yoga and workout and happily eat all my vegetables and have achieved a level of mom-zen where I keep my voice sweet and calm even in the most stressful of situations.
I have a lot of things I’d like to feature on my blog: fashion (I love fashion); books (I love to read); New Foods (I love to eat); as well as Makeup; Home Decorating; Finances; Spirituality, but I’m also going to feature things I don’t really like…working out, eating strange things that grow out of the ground, and other
tortures new and interesting things that I’m excited for.
So! I guess that’s a disclaimer and an introduction 😉 Read on if you dare!
